Thinking about moving outside of Austin, TX? Liberty Hill Texas, is a cute town close enough to the city but far enough away to enjoy the country quiet.

Liberty Hill is located about 30 miles northwest of downtown Austin. This hidden gem is on Highway 29, west of Georgetown and north of Cedar Park and Leander.

While there are many cute cities and towns in the Austin area, much of the charm you’ll find in Liberty Hills comes from its historical and vintage feel. Don’t worry, Liberty Hill isn’t stuck in the past, many new businesses have taken over some of the historical buildings. You can enjoy a little bit of old and a little bit of new together.

This small town is loaded with outdoor adventure. Cool off with the new splash pad at Wetzel Park. Coming in 2022, your whole family can take a dip at the new Liberty Hills Swim Center.

Best Restaurants

Have you worked up an appetite? There are some really great restaurants in Liberty Hill too. Check out local favorite, Dahlia Cafe, for your favorite southern comfort foods. Grab a meal to go from Malted Grains and make sure you don’t miss the baked goods on Saturdays (especially those famous cookies!).

Events

Liberty Hill hosts a ton of events throughout the year, including the Independence Day Festival, Whimsy and Wonder, a Christmas festival, and a whole lot more. If you live in one of the master plan communities, you might have a Director of Fun that organizes events every month.

Housing

If you want to live in this beautiful city, you have a number of housing options to choose from. You can find ranch style homes on acres of land, new construction spec homes on acre size lots or you even find a historical home in downtown Liberty Hill. Master plan communities, such as Santa Rita Ranch and Orchard Ridge, offer neighborhoods that feature trails for hiking and biking, tennis courts, sand volleyball, community pools, and much, much more.

Whatever price point you're needing, you’ll find it in Liberty Hill. Compared to the cost of living in Austin, Liberty Hill is still an affordable option. You can expect to find houses in the $240,000-$1 million dollar range. This amazing city embodies community, education, friendship, family, and nature.
